My LittleXiaoTao is now 2 1/2 years old!

Celebrated Bee’s bday at this western restaurant.

Wld recommend this restaurant for those who nv been there b4… cosy ambience, dim lightings with candlelights.

We ordered their promotion special: Chicken and lobsters (2 pieces of lobsters and boneless chicken chop). The lobsters are really shiok! But the chicken is overcooked. We added on another $3.50 for salad bar, soup w garlic bread, dessert and coffee/tea. The garlic bread is very buttery crispy , nice!

For an overall price of @$22 per pax, i think it is worth the money.

The only feedback i have: I was turning my attention to Lovelle while my plate is being cleared by the waiter in seconds. My god, wld think that the waiter should at least ask "may i clear your plate?"  and hey cant he see that there is much left on the plate? so unprofessional of the waiter.

But for their good food and ambience, i wld think of going back again.

Chosen this place for hi-tea with my frenz coz it is much convenient.

DIn realli expect much of it…food wise acceptable… if you like jiaozi or pastry stuff, you prob will like it more. Besides, they aso serve popiah/noodles/chicken wings (funni ya?) & desserts like almond paste.

Like their fried noodles and almond paste. But their hot & sour soup isnt realli hot & sour …cant taste any hot but very sour. Their website mentioned their Famous? popiah….opps…maybe it’s their presentation…

Not to what i expected, they serve more to local delights like mee siam, bat ku teh, sushi, salmon, popiah, roasted beef and they also have chocolate fountain…

And best of everything…they serve Durian Pengat ! This is shiok!!! But do scoop yr durian early…it could be gone in 15mins time! haha. Can imagine when they refill the pot of durian pengat, ppl came rushing to the desserts bar to queue….oh! But erm-hmm….that included me…hehe.  Seriously think they shld use a smaller scoop….the scoop they use look more for soup….those guys in front of me (terribly kaisu!) piling big round mountain of durian in their bowl… they sure they can finish? But of coz for a well-refined lady like me :p…i only took a small scoop of it…. but 2 rounds…heee!

For a discounted price @ $20 we paid…i think it’s worth the $$$. But considering if w/o discount, i dont think i would think of patronizing it in the near future. I could find better place with better food (incl. durian pengat):)

Can imagine how boring food can be in Sengkang… there are not many eating outlets in SK as compared to those older housing estates.

So…when there is a newly opened foodcourt…it wld seems to be a "good news" to ppl living @ sk. Tday we deliberately took a little effort, walking down to this new foodcourt…tried out their fried oyster eggs, boiled soup, Ba Cho Mee & Chicken wings.  The fried oyster eggs looked and tasted very not up to standard….the others 3 not that bad.

Since the place quite near to us…we will probably go back to try their Chicken rice / seafood…. looks nice but muz try then noe.

Initially wanted to go for a fujifilm digicam…but heard that the battery lifespan very short…

So…

After some research…i decided to go for this –> Panasonic LUMIX FX01  and i want it PINK!

The price has already dropped to @$500 from $699…shall i wait a few mths more or hackcare just buy?……omg my "auntie characteristic" is back again… :p

Called Bargain City today. The SA said fx-01 will be phased out soon…so recommend me for fx-07 which is better. Current price - $599. I shall "tong" till March, hopefully the price will drop.

Our sec Big Brother- Mr Wong is back from US for a short vacation!

So cant miss this chance to catch up with him and the rest.

Tday we had a bbq gathering at his place….once again!:)

This Mr Wong…got to say…li hai… can continuously study for so many years aso not sianz… he is a Phd to-be in physiology. Sometimes i wonder if he could read our mind b4 we say our next sentence…HAHA! But nice of him, he taught us some ways to handle small children (ie. Lovelle) physiologically!LOL!

Also,got to mention we have a true real cook- Laurel. She always impressed us with the food she made! Tonite i am super impressed with her Chezzzy Mushroom! Superb!!! She even guided me how to do it! Yeah will try one day!:)

Too bad…we got to leave early…they are heading for ktv afterwhich…:(

One day, my neighbour at work told me casually that she wishes that she is a tai-tai…so do i:)

Sometimes when you get so frustrated at work, this thought will come to mind… human nature…. esp for ladies…haa.

I define Tai-Tai as one who doesnt have to work, doesnt have to be a housewife and yet has $10k a month to spend on spa, facial, slimming, shopping, yum cha etc etc…..

Staying back at home to do household chores and taking care of children is not a taitai…to what i think….it will be worse then working life.

Well, we must always try to stay cool and relaxed. Else sickness will follow. Ppl who take thing easy will live healthier, longer & looks younger… i believe this is true.

Ok…mi better sleep early tonite for WAR tomorrow! Gosh…. the thought of it turns me off….

1st-timers there tday….we alreadi see a queue as early as 5.15pm?? Thanks god that we were early, we waited for only @ 30mins for our table… i saw a long queue when we are seated and till we left.

We were like having a crab feast….butter crab, crab beehoon & chilli crab… now alittle sick of crab…..

Actually i find their crab dishes not bad lar…. esp the butter crab, this is the 1st time i ever tried butter crab so new taste to me. But they are not to Ivan’s "standard" HAHA! He still prefers the Still Rd Crabs, mi too. So we concluded that the black peppery crabs at Still Road is still our No. 1!

Happy 2nd Anniversary!

Thinking back…01.01.05 we had our wedding dinner, 10mths later we have Lovelle…. tday 01.01.07 we celebrated our 2nd anniversary… wow! time passes in the blink of an eye.

Anyway tday Ivan brought me to The Line buffet for dinner, he noes i’m a buffet-lover:) Well, after hearing so much raves on this highly recommended yet costly buffet, mi finally tried it. Maybe i expected so highly of it, thus alittle d/p.

Like expected, it serves chilled lobster, crab, scallop, sushi, shark fins soup, cod fish, salad, pizza, pasta and desserts etc etc… but dont think it is die-die must try buffet as described by podders…(our personal opinion).

Tis year we count down to Christmas in a different experience …we celebrated on a pte yacht! Cool!

The yacht is like a sailing hse…fully-equipped with bedrooms, bathrooms, mini kitchen, LCD TV, fridge etc etc… we spent total 6 hrs in the yacht… enjoyed so much the breeze fr the sea, great experience except that i felt alittle say bo after that.

Oh ya…got to mention…the owner aka captain looks cool 2! Heard he is ex-pilot, in his 40s but retired!…and is still available… wow…bt mi no chance lar…haha!
