Holiday Trip ~ 10Sept-19Sept

Back from HK yest. noon….sianz….so fast back singapore liao…

I love HK… unlike Spore which is kinda boring….HK is full of life and so happening. Imagine you are walking on the street at midnight and there are still so many ppl walking around and shops are still opening…. isnt it great?

Here’s my itinerary for the 10days:

Day 1 - Took a 1hr ferry to Macau. OMG…my Uncle’s fren brought us to their Macau Maritime Museum… boring man…. but ok lorz we juz went in since we were there. Then went to one of their popular town-Largo do Senado Square…heard this place is created by the Portuguese. Beautiful building structure. Dinner time, my Uncle’s fren bought us to a Portuguese restaurant…. nice romantic place but located in rather deserted place…. surprising, alot of angmos dining there.

Day 2 - Morning, explored their casino….the hotel we stayed in - New Century Hotel has its own Casino…. played their jackpot and won only a pathetic HK $10…hahaha…

Noon, we transferred back to HK, followed by shopping at one of their busiest shopping street- Fa Yuen Street.

Day 3 - Uncle, together with us, went to meet his fren in Shenzhen. His fren brought us to their one-stop leisure ctr. We did facial, foot reflexology massage and full body massage…. shiok and so relaxing. And the price is so resonable. Next had dinner at a Chinese rest. and proceed to Dong Men Walking Street- a place for clothes & small-ticket items. They sells real cheap stuff, can bargain alot…but made in China…din buy many as their quality no good.

Day 4 - Disappointment- A Raining Day. Thunderstorm lvl 3. Shopping day at our hotel nearby - Argyle Centre and New Town Mall (Mongkok). Lurve this place….. this place sells more fashionable clothes than Fa Yuen Street. Price reasonable but cant do much bargaining. Spent a few hrs there…haha…i bought most of my items there. At night, went Ladies Street which is juz a street away from our hotel.

Day 5 - Shop around Tsim Sha Tsui and Nathan Road

Day 6 - Visited Cheung Chau Island. Diff from city, kampong place. But not bad, quite like it. Night time, went shopping and dinner at Causeway Bay.

Day 7 - Went to Sham Shui Po Market (dont like the place but mummy wanted to go). Next, proceed to Shaukeiwan & Admirathy. Evening, had Peng Cai dinner with Uncle at Tai Po.

Day 8 - Morning, met up with Mum’s HK fren, had dim sum together with her. Afterwhich, we shopped along Mongkok area. Had Da Jia Le for dinner. Their western food is superb! (1/4 chicken, baked potatoes, sausages , vegetables & banana spilt ice-cream)- All at only @ S$8!

Day 9 - Mum requested, re-visited Fa Yuen Street again. Mi went to Argyle Ctr again and bought more stuff. Farewell Dinner with Uncle…had hotpot dinner.

Day 10 - Home Sweet Home.

Ate soooo much during this trip…. sad to say, i put on weight. So ugly now when i look bah-bah…. so i am starting my Jian Fei Ji Hua now…. haha. For a start, mi for the 1st time aft so long, went jogging around my HDB estate. Now legs pain pain….:/ I plan to go jogging 3 times a week….hopefully cld slim down abit by 1month time…. *x fingers*

Obtained my Driving Licence!

Monday, September 4th, 2006

This fearful day is finally over!

I took my driving test today and pass with 18 demerit points exactly! I must count myself lucky.  I nearly kanna immediate failure in the circuit. Ok this is how it happened…tester instructed me to turn left, so with car blocking me, i turned slightly to the left and without knowingly, the traffic light turns red. OMG, lucky i realised the red light and braked my car immediately….but i was already in the pedestrian crossing… there goes 10 demerit points! But it was still a relieve that i managed to stop in time…else think no need to continue liao…*phew*

And what a joke…tester asked me to start engine…. but i was so nervous and did not realise engine not started yet. I proceed to put down my handbrake… then the tester said again "Start engine first"…haha… then i realised oh-oh. But he is so nice, nv deduct any demerit point from me….:D

Other than the 10points from stopping in pedestrian crossing…the circuit test has been smooth for me… at the route outside was also quite smooth except for minor mistakes which added up to 8points.

Thanksful to my instructor…though he is fierce and scolded me sometimes, but he teaches me a lot of things ….i know he wanted me to pass. He always scolded me that i did not check blindspots and mirrors…now i learnt that. Today i really action liao-liao…. kept checking mirrors, turning head to check blindspots…haha….but think this helped me alot…

Maybe a tip for anyone taking driving test…try to act steady and confident in front of tester, be courteous and polite and if could, ack his every instruction given by a gesture or "ok".

Happie…Overall i only spent @ $1100…

I shall remember this…SSDC, 4Sept06, 1.55pm, Route 9, Tester Mr Chua :-)
